I am
sending this note to express my appreciation for the care I
received many times from Joey Allen while getting a CTY scan at
Pembroke General Hospital. Cancer can be a very tiring time in
your life and it is so refreshing to be cared for by a person
with such an obvious love of his chosen career. Joey Allen
never fails to put me at ease and just by his calm demeanour I
am always about to focus on my ‘silver linings’.
Laughter is
the best medicine and I never fail to have a few good laughs in
his company. He is a truly caring and sincere professional who
should be commended on his job performance. Sincerely and

I would like to say thank you to Brenda Miller, a nurse on 2nd
Medical. Brenda was a true angel to my Mother and our family
during my Mother's long stay on 2nd Medical. She was always
willing to answer any questions she could and encouraged us to
contact her and get updates which was a huge relief as we are
all out of town and were unable to be there every day for our
Mother. Brenda went beyond the call of duty of providing
medical care and took an interest in my mother as a whole
person, seeking ways to help her emotionally as well as
physically wherever she could. We cannot thank her enough for
her help with Mom at a very difficult and stressful time in our
lives. She represents the true spirit of what nursing care
should be and she should be honoured for her commitment to it.
