Eary Gift to Support MRI |

$100,000.00 Early Gift to support MRI for Ottawa Valley
Residents
Local family Mr. Herb and Mrs. Darlene Liedtke honour local
health care
PEMBROKE
(ON) – In support of local healthcare, Mr.
Herb and Mrs. Darlene Liedtke made an early gift towards the
purchase of an MRI for Ottawa Valley residents.
“After the
LHIN and Ontario Government made the announcement that there
was to be an MRI for our area, I knew we had to get on
board,” remarks Herb Liedtke.
 The
$100,000.00 donation is an advance gift in support of the
purchase of new diagnostic imaging equipment. At the
beginning of September 2011, the Provincial Government
announced the funding of operational costs for the new MRI,
a first for Renfrew County.
”This
wonderful Christmas surprise that will go to improving the
lives’ of the people in our region,” Pierre Noel, chief
executive of the Pembroke Regional Hospital shared. “The
more comprehensive health care we can have closer to home,
the better for everyone in Renfrew County.”
“We are
proud to make this donation as it is a worthwhile project,”
expressed Herb and Darlene. “Not only is this technology
critically important for our area, but it also represents a
tremendous opportunity to give back to the community,”
continued Mr. Liedtke.

Black & White Gala 2011
Petawawa
(ON) – For the sixth year in a row, the Pembroke Regional
Hospital Foundation’s hallmark Black and White Gala was a
resounding success, showing no signs of slowing down.
Uniting the dedicated volunteers, physicians, community
leaders and everyone in between, the Gala showcased how
dedicated the people of the Ottawa Valley are to improving
local health care.
“I am thrilled to announce that we raised a grand (net)
total of over $89,000.00 for the Pembroke Regional Hospital
Foundation this year,” said Marnie Stunt, Chair of the Gala
Committee. “Over the 6 years, the community has donated more
than $557,000.00 dollars to regional healthcare through this
annual event alone, and we cannot emphasize enough how
important that is.”

Donor Wall of Recognition
All donors
with accumulated contributions of $5,000 or more will be
recognized on the “Donor Wall”. A category plaque
bearing the name of the individual, family, organization or
corporation will appear at the appropriate category
corresponding with the total accumulated pledge. The Donor
Wall is located prominently in Tower B, across from the
Mural Café, and will serve as a permanent reminder of those
who have provided generous support of the Pembroke Regional
Hospital Foundation.
